Practical protocol education for business owners

A2A Knowledge Base for Agent-Ready SEO.

A factual guide to what the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol is, what it is not, and the practical information work businesses can do before they consider any agent integration.

What A2A is

A protocol for agents to work with agents.

A2A, short for Agent2Agent, is an interoperability protocol. It defines a common way for one software agent to discover another agent's capabilities, exchange tasks, and receive results.

An Agent Card is a machine-readable description used by an A2A service to communicate information such as its identity, supported skills, and connection details. It is part of an agent-service implementation—not a general-purpose SEO file.

What businesses can do now

Strengthen the information people and systems need to understand your business.

The useful work for most organizations is not protocol deployment. It is making the business facts behind the website clear, current, and easy to verify.

Keep core facts current

Maintain accurate services, locations, hours, contact methods, and policy information.

Make service pages useful

Explain who each service is for, what is included, and how a customer takes the next step.

Build a sound SEO foundation

Address technical health, crawlability, clear page structure, and trustworthy content.

Define real workflows

If an agent could help customers, document the authorized actions, data boundaries, and human handoffs first.

How an A2A SEO audit works

Start with the site and the business facts.

An A2A-aware SEO audit is a planning exercise, not a protocol certification or a promise of AI visibility. It reviews the information foundation that a customer, search system, or future agent would need to interpret responsibly.

  1. 1
Inventory: Review public business facts, service information, primary conversion paths, and content gaps.
  2. 2
Assess: Identify technical and content issues that make information incomplete, inconsistent, or hard to use.
  3. 3
Prioritize: Separate immediate website and SEO improvements from any future agent workflow that may warrant deeper technical discovery.

An audit does not itself create an A2A service, Agent Card, endpoint, or compatibility claim.

HuskyTail's responsible rollout

Useful before novel.

HuskyTail does not currently operate a public A2A endpoint. We do not claim A2A compatibility, protocol certification, partnerships, ranking benefits, automatic AI visibility, or audit results.

Our approach is to begin with verifiable website and business-information improvements. Where a client has a real customer-facing agent use case, any later protocol work should be scoped around security, authorization, data handling, reliability, and a clear benefit for the customer.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about A2A.

Is A2A a search ranking factor?

No. A2A is an interoperability protocol for software agents. Search engines and AI products use their own systems and signals; A2A does not create a ranking benefit or automatic AI visibility.

Does every business need an Agent Card?

No. An Agent Card is useful when an organization operates an agent service and needs to describe how other agents can discover and work with it. Most businesses should first make their services, locations, policies, and contact paths clear and accurate on their website.

Does HuskyTail operate a public A2A endpoint?

No. HuskyTail does not currently operate a public A2A endpoint. We discuss A2A as an emerging technical option for organizations with a real agent-to-agent workflow to support.
